​​​Call for Papers 2020 - NOW OPEN
​
Open Access regular scientific publication devoted to Public Art as an area of ​​intersection of practical and theoretical disciplines, among others, art, design and patrimony, of the human and natural sciences, to the design and participated construction of the public space.

​Promoted by AP2 (scientific association) through Urbancreativity.org project. Associated with the Public Art transversal research line of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Research Unit CIEBA.

Composed by editor and co-editor, an editorial board and a scientific committee. Two numbers per year, in a cycle composed of call for papers, blind scientific peer review, proofreading, layout and publication. We will invite all types of authors, professionals, amateurs, academics, students, teachers and researchers, without any restriction in the level of their subject areas.

The working languages are Portuguese and English and the double blind review will be done by the Scientific Committee.


Submitting your paper (until the end of August)

1 – Write your paper in one of the following formats:
- Article - full papers ( ± 5000 words);
- Essay - Working Papers ( ± 1000 words);
- Reviews ( ± 500 words).

​Ensure that the text follows the author style guidelines (Rules for Publication).
Ensure that the file is sent in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF formats and is not over 20MB.

Article Processing Charge 
CAP - Public Art Journal as an open access initiative the publishing costs need to be covered ideally at the author institution side. We advise the proposal of your institution for the Institutional Membership Program. 

​The Article Processing Charge rates are:

- Free for authors associated to the Member Institutions, authors that are members of the scientific committees or other invited authors (such as authors from  sub dev countries (UN list);).

- 50 eur for independent researchers and/ or institutions from sub developed countries (UN list);

- 250 euros for institutions covering authors APC (eg, Universities, research centres, corporations);

The payment must be processed after the paper acceptance for publication. The paper will not be processed and published without the respective payment.


Publication
All the accepted papers in 
CAP – Public Art Journal will be fully free to download and open access, trough web platform integrated with the academic journals global open access system. The platform allows the fast indexation of all articles and authors in the most relevant scientific data bases (among others as EBSCO, Web of Science, Scopus). The publication will be also available in print, hard copy paper based format (on demand).

CAP - Cadernos de Arte Pública / Public Art Scientific Journal, é uma publicação cientifica regular de acesso aberto dedicada à Arte Pública como área de intercepção de disciplinas práticas e teóricas, entre outras, da arte, design e património, das ciências humanas e naturais, ao projeto e construção do espaço público participado.

Promovida pela Urban Creativity /AP2 (associação cientifica sem fins lucrativos) e coordenada com a Linha Transversal de Arte Pública da Unidade de Investigação CIEBA da Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa.

Para submeter o seu trabalho

1 – Redigir o seu trabalho, num dos formatos indicados:
- Artigos científicos - full papers ( ± 5000 palavras/ words);
- Ensaios - Working Papers ( ± 1000 palavras/ words);
- Recensões - Reviews ( ± 500 palavras/ words).

​Garantir que o texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos (Rules for Publication).
Garantir que os ficheiros para submissão encontram-se em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF e não ultrapassam 20MB.

Taxa de processamento (APC)
Porque CAP – Public Art Journal é de acesso aberto, assim os custos de publicação são custeados idealmente através de instituição a que o autor esteja associado (prática recomendada pela UE).

Aconselhamos a consulta e proposta junto das instituições de formas continuadas de apoio (Institutional Membership Program). A taxa de processamento é de:

​- Gratuita para Autores associados a Instituições que estejam inscritas no (Institutional Membership Program, Membros das Comissões da publicação e outros Autores Convidado;

- 50 eur para investigadores independentes e autores de países sub desenvolvidos (UN list);

- 250 euros no caso de professores ou investigadores cujo pagamento (avulso) seja efectuado pelas suas instituições; 

O pagamento é efectuado após aceitação do trabalho para publicação, o qual não será processado e publicado sem o respectivo pagamento.



Publicação
Todos os papers aceites para publicação no CAP – Public Art Journal são de acesso aberto, gratuito e livre através da plataforma integrada no sistema de open access global. Esta plataforma permitirá a rápida indexação e referenciação de todos os autores nas mais relevantes bases de dados de referências científicas globais (entre outros EBSCO, Web of Science, Scopus). A publicação ficará também disponível em formato impresso (on demand).
